Statement: USC Responds to Death of Third Year Health Science Student

The University Students’ Council issued the following statement on Sunday, September 27, regarding the death of a Western student this week:

The USC is saddened to learn of the passing of Sydney Legasy, a third year health science student, a few days ago. As a close community, the loss of a student impacts us all — our thoughts are with Sydney’s family and friends. Western will lower the flag at University College on September 28th in her honour.

We encourage those who need support to reach out to the resources listed below.

USC’s Peer Support Centre
The centre is a safe space in which students can express their feelings and explore resource options provided by the university, the city of London, and the USC.
